Heart of the Wolf (Eye of the Storm #3) by Dianna Hardy! Cover Reveal & Guest Post!

I am sooo excited to reveal the brand spankin' new cover in Dianna Hardy's Eye of the Storm series ( you can check out my reviews of the first 2 books here & here). Also if you haven't already checked out my interview with Dianna, click here to check it out! Dianna will also be sharing a great guest today so I hope you enjoy! :)

Summary

Lydia becomes ever closer to her three mates. However, with unrest all around, she is struggling to keep her wolves together for her first full moon in two days’ time.

A trip back home for Ryan could bring much needed support for them all, but at what cost?

As The Trident close in on Ryan's pack, the pack itself becomes divided over Lydia's presence and Lawrence is encouraged to return as the Alpha. But they don't know his secret, and he's doubtful of his ability to protect them. Can he fulfil his rightful role, or will his efforts prove fatal?

Meanwhile, among the arid plains of Egypt, in a long-forgotten city, one man is pitting himself against the beast inside him in order to find salvation, only to realise, so much more is at stake than his soul.

(Notes: Book three of a series - it is highly recommended that the books are read in order. This is an adult, paranormal fantasy containing scenes of explicit sexual content and some violence, entwined with romantic elements. Written in British English.)

Guest Post: Behind the Eye Of The Storm book covers

What better to talk about than the series’ covers since this is a cover reveal ;)

This will be spoiler-ish if you have not read the first book Releasing The Wolf.

I had dilemmas:

1. I knew this was gong to be a sexy-as-hell series because the lust aspect is so heavily ingrained in the stories, so right off the bat, I felt that the covers should portray this so people knew what they were getting, because my blurbs don’t really tell you about the (er-hem) detailed sex scenes I like to write, and sometimes the blurbs even focus on the plot. So the covers had to show the romance and erotic aspect.

2. Do I make the covers with a couple on each of them, or do I make them more “ménage-focused”? I went for the couples and I’ll tell you why: the series isn’t about a ménage per se. Each book to date only has one ménage scene in it, and lots of one-on-one moments as Lydia (and you lucky readers) gets to know her new mates individually. In the end, that technical fact won – there are more one-on-one scenes than group scenes. Now, hey, that may change, who knows, but even so, the ménage aspect is more part of the plot than a part of what makes the writing itself. So that’s why there are couples on the covers and not four people.

3. The colour of each cover means something. Book one has orange highlighted, and this is because of the boldness and “gusto” I wanted to subliminally convey. The writing is kinda bolshy and raw, and Lydia’s character is also quite frank and open – if she had a star sign – which she does, but I haven’t written about it – she’d be an Aries. (All my characters have sun signs and rising signs and moon signs, I’m just the only one that knows about them, but there you go – insider info. for you: Lydia is an Aries sun sign.)

Book two is green to convey the more gentle aspects of humanity (evident in both Sarah and Taylor, and even Amil, who feature quite strongly in this book) and also because the matter of balance, nature and dark vs. light is more strongly introduced in this story. Green = balance, nature, harmony, humanity, etc.

Book three (cover revealed in this post) is red. And we all know what red means, don’t we? Passion. True desire. Our heart’s desire. And I’m not talking about sex or love necessarily, but our passions in life and what drives us – what we really want. And these are the avenues that are explored in this book.

Book four? I don’t know yet – come back next year ;)

Enjoy the ride!

Although quite active online, Dianna is a self-confessed hermit, preferring the company of nature and animals to the hustle and bustle of people. She lives in the UK with her partner and their daughter, where she devotes her time to parenting, publishing and writing.
