The Tragedy of Knowledge by Rachael Wade

Summary from Goodreads

The Battle Comes Home.

After arranging a hopeful but risky alliance during their visit to the Amaranthian realm, Camille, Gavin, and the resistance don’t have much time to recover from their failed mission. Forced to create a new strategy to achieve their goal, they embark on a different mission—one that possibly holds the missing key to their quest for victory, and their deadliest one yet.

As they attempt round two to restore peace and freedom for their kind, they must rely on help from the living, the bayous, and beyond to decipher allies from enemies, good magic from bad, and whether the source claiming to lead the way to their destiny can be trusted. Racing against the clock to solve the mystery of their fate, they find the battle has come right to their doorstep, and this time, everyone must pay a price.

My Review

Oh my goodness, this book is too epic to put into words, but I will give it my very best shot! I think I loved every single thing about this and to be honest I'm a little bit gutted that it has come to an end! I'm secretly hoping that the Wonderful Rachael Wade will consider writing a book about the very intriguing Clea, as she has stunned me with how much I'm drawn to knowing her story, so fingers crossed *hint Rach*! This stunning final instalment is wonderfully written, perfectly paced, action packed and filled with emotion, sacrifice  and intrigue! I really couldn't of asked for more for a final instalment in a favourite series but I will definitely miss the whole world and the fabulous characters that I have come to love!

The Resistance have to quickly put a new plan together after their last failed mission in Amaranth! But this new mission could prove to be their most reckless yet! When they return to the alluring Amaranth they find themselves racing against time to make their plan come together, but Camille will play a bigger part in the outcome than first thought! Will the frozen souls ever get their curses lifted? Will Camille and Gavin ever get their happily ever after?

Well, the ending is the most unexpectedly awesome ending EVER!! I loved everything and was on the edge of my seat routing for Camille all the way! I was more than pleased with how Rachael has ended her wonderful trilogy and if anyone hasn't yet had the pleasure of reading them, then I beg you to go do so now! All that's left for me to do is thank Rachael for bringing this brilliantly memorable trilogy to the table, I really can't put into words how much I loved it!

My favourite characters:

Samira: I have been intrigued by this wicked goddess from the off! She is a real stand out from the crowd character that I won't soon forget in a hurry!

Clea: I adored the introduction of the very interesting Clara, and to be honest I really NEED more info about her as she has really grabbed my attention!

A big 5 Stars

*Special thanks to Rachael for the review copy*
