On the Cover #48

On The Cover is a feature I am going to doing every now and again. I will pick one book cover that sticks out, is really interesting or just beautiful - I particularly like a book cover that has a stunning landscape.
 

I think the cover of a book is very important, it's the first thing a person sees and some of the time it's the reason why a person will pick a book up and read the back. I will just pick a book that catches my eye from throughout the week.

Arsenic for Tea

Schoolgirl detectives Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong are at Daisy’s home, Fallingford, for the holidays. Daisy’s glamorous mother is throwing a tea party for Daisy’s birthday, and Daisy’s eccentric family are all invited.   

Then one of their party falls seriously, mysteriously ill – and everything points to poison.   

With furious storms preventing anyone from leaving, or the police from arriving, Fallingford suddenly feels like a very dangerous place to be. No one at Fallingford is what they seem – and everyone has a secret or two. And when someone very close to Daisy looks suspicious, the Detective Society must do everything they can to reveal the truth . . . no matter the consequences.

My Thoughts

I fell head over heels in love with the very lush cover for Murder Most Unladylike when I first laid eyes on it. It's striking (even more so in real life), simplistic and very old school vintage. I thought I'd share the cover for book 2 too, which Robin revealed recently. I think it's just as stunningly beautiful, look at that teapot and pocket watch! I can't wait to hold it in my hands!
