Summary from Goodreads

When sixteen-year-old Zoey Redbird gets Marked as a fledgling vampire she must join the House of Night school where she will train to become an adult vampire. That is, if she makes it through the Change. But Zoe is no ordinary fledgling. She has been chosen as special by the Goddess Nyx and discovers her amazing new power to conjure the elements: earth, air, fire, water and spirit. My Review
Marked is a real kick-butt start to the House of Night series. I thought it was totally un-put-down-able and I loved the mystery and fun surrounding the storyline!

Zoey Redbird is a wonderful character, she is strong, likeable and genuinely really funny. I loved watching her grow throughout the story, she found who she was as a person, gained confidence and also made some fantastic friends along the way. The secondary group of characters bring a ton of humour and are just an all round fun group.

Having read soooo many vampire tales, I breathed a big sigh of relief when I discovered how exciting and different this is from everything else out there. The authors have brought a fab and very original take on vamps to the table here and I really enjoyed it.

The storyline follows main character Zoey and the danger she is thrown into after being marked by a vampire. She has to move into the House of Night school like all of the other fledglings. But she soon discovers that all isn't what it seems....

Zoey seems to have been given special powers by the goddess Nyx. But everything doesn't run smoothly for her, people seem to be out to get her and she needs to watch her back....

Marked is a fantastic start to what I expect will be a brilliant series. It is filled with fun and humour but danger and tension lurk round every corner. A must read book!

4 / 5 Stars!
