My Review

After Dead isn't another True Blood novel, it's an A - Z codex of what happened to everyone after the series ended. I think it would be more suited to those die hard Sookie fans out there.

There were a lot of interesting little tidbits throughout this book, obviously the people I was really looking forward to were: Eric, Pam, Bill, Bubba and of course Sookie herself. I really wasn't disappointed on what I got for those characters, I even got some lovely little surprises! There was even a character who I won't mention, that says "we may even hear more about the rest of his life" - I'm secretly hoping this character will be nestled among the pages of Charline's new series, Midnight Crossroad.

I'm not going to lie, some of the people mentioned were not even familiar to me - and I've read the series a few times now. So, I found myself skimming through some of the pages. Some characters even got a one line sum up, which I was a bit....meh about.

All in all I think most folks will be most interested in the bigger characters in the series and if they're anything like me they won't be disappointed on those fronts. I thought the rest was a tad uninteresting, buy hey, you can't please everybody. I would recommend this to those die hard fans who just need to have a complete collection of True Blood books on their shelves.

I just can't wait to have my hands on Midnight Crossroad - which sounds fresh and super exciting!

2 / 5 Stars!
