My Review
The Spook's Bestiary is an absolute must read for fans of Joseph Delaney's epic Wardstone Chronicles!It's a record of the Spook's knowledge and encounters with the dark. It's so informative and I loved how I got to find out so much more about the dangerous brings that dominate Mr Delaney's world.
Each being is
illustrated so fabulously and with great attention to detail. The
illustrations well and truly bring this awesome book to life!
What I really liked was how there were little snippets from others who had also encountered that particular being. They add their own little account and add anything extra they have discovered.
The Bestiary fits between books 7 and 8 perfectly but I suppose it could be read any time after that. There is so much to discover and build upon and there is also so many new little bits and pieces that I had never came across before.
Joseph Delaney has produced a brilliant little keeper that I will enjoy returning to again and again while reading future books. It's truly amazing how he manages to build upon his already deep, dark and highly complex world.
I know I've already mentioned the illustrations but these stunningly vivid and darkly intriguing illustrations need to be seen to believed (Images throughout post) Julek Heller has done a truly fantastic job!
