Summary from Goodreads
CHARM is a beautifully illustrated re-telling of the Cinderella story which takes all the much-loved elements of the classic fairytale (the handsome prince, the fairy godmother, the enchanted mouse, the beautiful girl and, of course, the iconic balls) and puts a modern spin on the characters, their motives and their desires. This is fun, contemporary, sexy, and perfect for fans of ONCE UPON A TIME, GRIMM, SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN and more. This edition contains 15 original pen and ink illustrations by Les Edwards.

My Review
Charm is a wickedly dark and sexy fairytale retelling and I think more fairy tales should be rewritten this way!
Sarah Pinborough takes the classic Cinderella tale and mashes it up into something very different and very her own. She has a great writing style that can very easily draw readers in and the ending seems to come all too quickly for my liking!
What I liked the most was the way Charm carried on from Poison and the way the stories overlap. Saying that I really don't think you would need to read Poison first but I would advise that you do.
Sarah dishes the dirt on Cinders, who is nothing like we were lead to believe. Yes, she still longs to marry the prince but instead of living happily ever after, that's where the story really begins in Charm....
The storyline is quick paced and is peppered with sexy scenes, lusty moments and has plenty of intrigue and mystery to keep you glued to those pages.
I loved the ending, it was a big shocker but only feels like the beginning of another dark twisted tale to come! Which is why I cannot wait to get my hands on Beauty!
Can I just say, Gollancz has done an amazing job making these books look so special, they are real keepers! Also the little illustrations add a little something extra!
5 / 5 Stars!
