Meanwhile, Pueblo -- the demon blood-bonded to the witch, Amy -- is going insane trying to find her. Amy disappeared one week ago, and it seems not even their bond is strong enough to penetrate whatever magic hides her.
As Pueblo enlists the help of angels and demons alike, Elizabeth begins to piece together parts of her forgotten life. But what she uncovers may just have her wanting to turn away from who she really is ... for good.

Ahh, I really can't express how addictive these novellas are! I was hooked and reeled in from the first chapter and I never put the book down until I was finished. Diannna Hardy writes superbly and I really do think she she has taken the storyline and the characters to a whole other level in this second instalment. I think the trilogy is Hot with a capital H and it's only getting Hotter! What I enjoyed the most was getting to know the super sexy character that is Gwain a little bit better *swoon*! Dianna has set things up beautifully for explosive things to come in the final book 'The Demon Bride' and I cannot freak'in wait!
The Sands of Time picks up right where The Witching Pen left off. Amy is still missing and everyone is doing everything in their power to find her, with no luck. Elizabeth May has lost her memory after trying to commit suicide, her husband Paul, whom she has no memory of is looking after her at their home. She is haunted by dreams that show her things that she thinks might be important.
Elizabeth is determined to claim back her memories at any cost. Could the missing Amy and Elizabeth share something in common? Will Pueblo and the others uncover the powerful magic that hides Amy in time?
Well the ending is spectacular to say the least. For a novella there really is so much going on that there is lots of complex stories going on within the main story. I am in love with this brilliantly imagined world not to mention the truly intriguing characters that I am missing already. If only novellas were longer *sigh*, bring on The Demon Bride!
