Penguin's Hidden Talent by Alex Latimer

My Review

Penguin's Hidden Talent is a real charming little story that is warm, full of character and a whole lot of fun. The illustrations are bright, colourful, cute and attractive. We were glued to the pages from the off and my daughters attention was held throughout. This is a fab little book that is full of wit, definitely worth the read.

There is going to be a big annual talent show and Penguin would love more than anything to take part, but unfortunately he just can find a talent of his own. He tries everything he can think of, but it's no use. His friends step in to try and help him discover his talent but can they help poor Penguin?

Well the ending is wonderful and poor Penguin's talent has been under his nose the whole time, he just needed to realise it! We were really pleased for Penguin and the outcome but we couldn't help feeling that Penguin's Hidden Talent was missing a little something, a little sparkle. This is definitely a great little book and I would recommend it for little ones everywhere.

    1. There are so many good ones, Heidi! But 2 of our favourites at the minute are: The Somethingosaur by Tony Mitton, which is cute & The Giant's Loo Roll by Nicholas Allan which is hilarious. Plus both books rhyme which is a big plus for us! :)
