"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection is:
Beautiful Redemption (Beautiful Creatures)
By Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl
Expected publication: October 23rd 2012 by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers
Summary
Is death the end . . . or only the beginning?
Ethan Wate has spent most of his life longing to escape the stiflingly small Southern town of Gatlin. He never thought he would meet the girl of his dreams, Lena Duchannes, who unveiled a secretive, powerful, and cursed side of Gatlin, hidden in plain sight. And he never could have expected that he would be forced to leave behind everyone and everything he cares about. So when Ethan awakes after the chilling events of the Eighteenth Moon, he has only one goal: to find a way to return to Lena and the ones he loves.
Back in Gatlin, Lena is making her own bargains for Ethan's return, vowing to do whatever it takes -- even if that means trusting old enemies or risking the lives of the family and friends Ethan left to protect.
Worlds apart, Ethan and Lena must once again work together to rewrite their fate, in this stunning finale to the Beautiful Creatures series.

What's your "waiting on" pick this week?

I haven't read any of the books in this series but I do like the sound of this one. I'm also intrigued by the cover which reminds me of an old black and white movie I saw as a child titled "The Spiral Staircase". Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHere's my WoW
I've never really been too invested in this series, but I do still like it enough to want to check out this book. Plus I love the cover for this the most, I think. :) Great WoW pick!
ReplyDeleteI've heard sooo many good things about this series but never got around to reading it. I might wait until all the books are out and then start it! Great pick Carly :D
ReplyDeleteInteresting book. I hadn't heard of this one before.

Hi Carly, thanks for your comment at the Spellbound Stop at Pocket Full of Books.
ReplyDeleteYes! You're absolutely right: Entangled appeared as Spellbound (the novella) in the short lived "Death by Chocolate Anthology" back in February.
I wondered if anyone would ever notice that. ;)
RIP DBC! But the stories live on...
I loved Death by Chocolate :)
DeleteI would love to read Spellbound but it's only available in E-format, isn't it? :)
