Kiss Me, I'm Irish (Time For Love #1) by Bella Street

Emily Musgrave is heading a direction she never wanted to go in Regency England--namely a convent to turn her from her waywardness. But it's more loneliness than rebellion that motivates her to escape her certain fate.

Liam Jackson is going nowhere fast in modern-day Tennessee. Playing his Dobro in seedy bars and backward dives along with his fiddling sister, Tinker, is doing nothing for his music career--and even less for the dark places in his soul.

Pixie dust and thieving mischief can not only change time-lines, it can change hearts--because a girl can only get so far without a little magic in her life.

My Review

I absolutely loved Kiss Me, I'm Irish, It is so different from anything else I have read. It was such a fun, exciting read from start to finish. The plot-line was engaging, with great pacing and the characters were so likeable and funny. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this beautifully written book  from Bella Street.

Emily Musgrave is from 1813, her great aunt is getting her sent to a convent for kissing the hired help. In the carriage on the way to the convent Emily makes a break for it. She stumbles into a rock circle and is magically transported to the modern day world, in Tennessee.

The first person Emily sees is Tinker and then her brother Liam. They know something is not quite right with Emily, so they take her under their wing, well more like on the back of their motorcycle.

Everything is bright and new for Emily, who can't believe her eyes at her surroundings. Tinker and Liam tour pubs and clubs, playing their music . Liam is hoping to make it big and they are slowly making their way to Nashville.

It doesn't take long to realise Liam and Emily have a bit of a thing for each other. Emily has some Guineas that they take to a coin dealership. They get quite a bit of money for one.

Things start to get strange when the coin dealer Drake shows up and attacks Emily. I can't say much more or I will give everything away, but lets just say everyone is not who they say they are. Pixie mischief does play a big part in the book, but in the end their meddling got everyone to where they needed to be. So their meddling made some people truly happy.

The ending is fantastic, I loved how everything pieced together perfectly, I was so happy for everyone involved and it even left off with me having a giggle at the end.

Bella Street has done a truly wonderful job with Kiss Me, I'm Irish. There is love, action, humour and first class characters throughout the book.

Add Kiss Me, I'm Irish today, I would highly recommend it, to everyone.
My favourite characters were the main ones:

Tinker - She is funny, witty, sneaky and is always up to no good.

Liam - Was moody, interesting, stubborn and highly frustrating. But he is an all round good guy.

Emily - Now this girl was hilarious, she  was a proper lady and didn't have a clue about anything in the modern day world, which made things all the more funny. She was strong minded, kind and not afraid to stand up for herself and others she cares about. I think Emily and Liam make the perfect love match, just saying ;)

Special thanks to Bella Street for the review copy.

A 5 Star read
